Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) apply to your use of vilamahjong.com (the “Site”) and to any purchase or wholesale request you make with Villa Mahjong (“Villa Mahjong,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or buying from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Using the Site

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. You agree to give us accurate information and to use the Site only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:

• interfere with the Site’s security or operation, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
• copy, scrape, or reuse the Site’s content or images without our written permission;
• use the Site to send spam or to transmit anything unlawful, harmful, or misleading; or
• place orders for fraudulent purposes or using someone else’s payment details.

3. Our products

We work hard to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colors can look different from one screen to another, and small variations are part of the character of finished goods. Products marked “coming soon” are not yet available to buy. We may change, update, or discontinue products at any time.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship the products, and we will email you a confirmation when they are on their way. We may decline or cancel an order, or limit quantities, for example if a product is out of stock, if there is an error in the price or description, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable sales tax or shipping charges unless we say so. Those are calculated at checkout. Payments are handled by our secure payment processor. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel orders placed at that price and will let you know.

6. Shipping, returns, and exchanges

We ship within the United States, and we offer complimentary standard shipping on orders over $150. Delivery times, rates, and our return and exchange policy are described on ourShipping & Returns page, which forms part of these Terms. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier.

7. Wholesale requests

Requests sent through our Wholesale page are inquiries, not binding orders. A wholesale order is confirmed only when we agree to it in writing, including the products, quantities, prices, payment terms, and delivery timing. Additional wholesale terms may apply and will be shared with you before you confirm.

8. Newsletter and promotions

If you join our mailing list, you agree to receive emails from us, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Any promotion we offer is subject to the specific terms announced with it and may be changed or ended at any time, unless the law requires otherwise.

9. Intellectual property

The Site and everything on it, including the Villa Mahjong name and logo, product designs, photographs, text, and graphics, belong to Villa Mahjong or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share pages from the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

10. Your feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or other feedback, you agree that we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

11. Game guidance

Our guides and articles about playing American Mahjong are offered for general information and enjoyment. House rules vary from table to table, and the official rules and annual card are published by the National Mah Jongg League.

12. Links to other websites

The Site may link to websites we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, products, or practices.

13. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Villa Mahjong will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Villa Mahjong from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Villa Mahjong is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern, please contact us first atcontacts@vilamahjong.com; most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and it will apply to your use of the Site from then on. Orders placed before a change are governed by the Terms in effect when you placed them.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Shipping & Returns policy, are the entire agreement between you and Villa Mahjong regarding the Site.
